Central East Coast Region is one of 28 regions of SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF THE AMERICAS, an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.
Our Region began in 1922 with the establishment of the Washington, DC Club, our organization has been making a difference since 1921.

Each year, our region awards cash scholarships to women, many of whom have overcome enormous obstacles as well as girls who donate their time and energy to causes that make the community and world a better place.
Soroptimist improves the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment both in their own communities and throughout the world.
