Here is a great way for you to raise money for Soroptimist without putting a penny out of your own pocket – and by doing something you are already doing every day – use GoodSearch.com!!
GoodSearch is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates 50% of its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the user’s favorite charity – ours, of course, is Soroptimist. The pennies add up quickly. Consider that if only 1,000 staff, members and friends search the Internet just twice a day, Soroptimist can earn $7,300 a year – just by doing something we do everyday! If we think bigger – 10,000 users searching twice a day will earn Soroptimist $73,000 a year!!
The founder of GoodSearch has agreed to include only Soroptimist International of the Americas on their list of charities – no individual clubs or regions will be permitted to register because GoodSearch would like to make a bigger impact and that can only be done when a large number of searches are credited.
